Darlene Rowland, 79, passed away August 22, 2007 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend. Born October 10, 1927 at Marceline, Missouri, she was the daughter of Charles and Mayme West Huffman. On June 1, 1945, she married Rodger Rowland in Great Bend, Kansas. He survives. This union was blessed with two daughters, Cheryl and Pam. Darlene was a homemaker, thoroughly enjoying family times. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend. Darlene is survived by her husband, Rodger of the home; two daughters, Cheryl Kottwitz and husband Kent of Overland Park, Kansas and Pam Kuhn and husband David of Plano, Texas; one brother, Glenn Huffman and wife Shirley of Bethany, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Shelly Taggart and husband Chip, Scott McNeill and wife Melissa, Cristina Kuhn and Courtney Kuhn; five great-grandchildren, Austin, Nolan and Andrew Taggart and Kaylee and Braden McNeill. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Don Huffman. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, with the Reverend James A. Strasen officiating. Visitation will be Friday, August 24, 2007 from Noon to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday, August 25, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
