Danny K. Crane, 62, died October 26, 2010 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas. He was born October 22, 1948 at Abilene, Kansas, the son of Donald and Katherine (Barlow) Crane. He married Hazel Horner December 31, 1967 at Great Bend. A Great Bend resident since 1993, coming from Pleasanton, California, Mr. Crane was publication editor for Lockheed Missiles in Space. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. Survivors include his wife, Hazel Crane, of the home; one son, Marty Crane, Great Bend; one sister, Patty Tompson, Englewood, Colorado; one brother, Steve Crane, Fort Scott, Kansas; and three grandchildren: Marty Crane, Meghann Crane, and Timothy Crane. He was preceded in death by one sister, Marsha Bowels; and one brother, Scott Crane. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2010 at Fort Scott National Cemetery, Fort Scott, Kansas. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Bryant Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
