Dan Allen Noblitt, 78, died May 4, 2013 at his Great Bend, Kansas, residence. He was born October 16, 1934 at Great Bend, the son of George O. and Edith (Marsh) Noblitt. He married Thelma Beebe April 18, 1958 at Norwalk, California. A longtime Great Bend resident, Mr. Noblitt was most recently employed as a regional manager for Super 8 Motels. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Noblitt was a member of the Assembly of God. Survivors include his wife, Thelma Noblitt, of the home; two sons: Michael Noblitt and his wife Vikki, West Hills, California; and Robert Noblitt and his wife Angela, Great Bend; three daughters: Sheryl Heidler and her husband Randy, Lawton, Oklahoma; Diana Ashbrook and her husband Mike, Schleswig, Iowa; and Tammy Noblitt, Great Bend; one brother, Robert Noblitt, Gun Barrel City, Texas; one sister, Billie Helen Noblitt, Great Bend; nine grandchildren: Michael Glendenning, Mindy Parkison, Michel Maneth, Kimber Noblitt, Keith Oetken, Ryan Ashbrook, Amanda Ashbrook, Daniel Noblitt, and Jeremy King; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Dwight Noblitt, Jack Noblitt, George Noblitt, and David Noblitt; and two sisters, Georgeanna and Edna. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 2013 with military rites by the United States Navy Honor Guard. The Reverend J. P. McCamey will officiate. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice, in care of the funeral home.
