Cleo May Barton died April 22, 2011 at her Great Bend, Kansas, home. She was born at Moscow, Kansas, the daughter of Roy A. and Bessie E. (Stevens) May. She married C. E. "Clem" Barton February 14, 1941 at Cimarron, Kansas. They enjoyed sixty-one years of marriage until his death on December 9, 2002. A homemaker, Mrs. Barton was a Great Bend resident since 1951, coming from Dodge City. Mrs. Barton was a former member of Riverside EHU. Survivors include one daughter: Linda Carter and husband Larry, Poulsbo, Washington; two grandchildren: Jennifer Stern and husband Jason, Lewisville, North Carolina; and Robert Barton, Wichita, Kansas; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, Greg Barton. Graveside funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Great Bend Cemetery. The Reverend Ron Moser will officiate. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association or Hospice Care of Kansas, in care of the funeral home.
