Cherie Ann (Bishop) Phillipi, 46, died July 29, 2015, at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Born May 4, 1969, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Paul Ray and Karen Sue (Schremmer) Bishop. She was a lifetime resident of Great Bend. Ms. Phillipi was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and Altar Society in Great Bend. Survivors include her parents, Paul and Karen Bishop of Great Bend; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; her first husband, Gary Cummings of Dodge City; long time friend and companion, Chris Rush of Great Bend; and her beloved dog, Shelby. She was preceded in death by one sister, Tammy Sue Bishop; and grandparents, Gus and Dale Schremmer and Cloys and Nova Bishop. Altar Society Rosary will be at 4:00 p.m., followed by a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2015 at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore celebrating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, July 31, 2015 at the funeral home.
