Charlene Marie Weigel, 81, died March 24, 2014 at her home in Great Bend, Kansas. She was born May 31, 1932 at Denver, Colorado, the daughter of James and Grace (Riggen) Klee. She married Willis Weigel April 30, 1951 at Hays, Kansas. He died August 2, 1993. A long-time Great Bend, Kansas resident Mrs. Weigel was a homemaker. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend. She enjoyed painting Ukranian eggs and china, was a proud Head Start volunteer and enjoyed reading to children at Great Bend Public Library. She was the loving mother of three children: Mark A Weigel of Tampa, Florida; Cynthia A. Stroth and her husband Michael H. of Sarasota, Florida, and Karen T. Rariden and her husband Michael H. of Kennesaw, Georgia. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Klee and Jack Klee. Altar Society Rosary will be at 4:00 p.m., Thursday March 27, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home. Graveside Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2014 at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend, Kansas. Interment will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home.
