Carma Lee Mason, 69, died October 13, 2009 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born April 10, 1940 at Tescott, Kansas, the daughter of William Harold and Letha Lucille (Pierce) Kunkle. A resident of Great Bend since 1988, coming from Olmitz, Kansas, Ms. Mason was a Cost Accounting Supervisor for thirteen years at Fuller Brush before retiring. Ms. Mason was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #646, Great Bend. She was a former member of Central Christian Church, Lincoln, Kansas; JC Jaynes, TOPS Club, and a Cub Scout Den Mother. Survivors include her companion, Yvonne West, Great Bend, Kansas; two sons, Steven K. Mason, Jacksonville, Florida; and Jeffrey A. Mason, Jacksonville, Florida; one step-daughter, Karla Amick, Great Bend, Kansas; one sister, Carol Otte, Wichita, Kansas; two grandchildren: Dawn Marie O'Brien and Christopher Levi Mason; one step-grandson, Cole Amick; two nephews: Robert J. Maze and Richard D. Maze; one niece, Lenita M. Maze; and one aunt, Shirley King, Salina, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Bryant Funeral Home. Father Ultan Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2009, with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Alzheimer's Research Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
