Brian Gene Mott, 32, died February 7, 2013 at Kingman County, Kansas. He was born April 1, 1980 at Medicine Lodge, Kansas, the son of Wendell and Connie (Kimball) Mott. A Great Bend resident since 2003, coming from Pratt, Mr. Mott worked for Val Energy Rig #3. Brian loved working on the rig and being outdoors and fishing. His smile could light up a room and his sense of humor kept people laughing. He loved his son and will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his mother, Connie Mott, Great Bend; one son, Brian Jesse Mott, Great Bend; two sisters: Amber Mott, Great Bend and Megan Mott, Great Bend; and one brother, Anthony Mott, Great Bend. He was preceded in death by his father, Wendell Mott. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home with the Reverend Dick Ogle officiating. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to the Brian Jesse Mott Education Fund, in care of the funeral home.
