Booker T. Cartwright, 65, died November 21, 2011 at his home in Russell, Kansas. He was born June 10, 1946 at Mansfield, Louisiana the son of Edmond and Twila Bell (Colbert-Stantley) Cartwright. A Russell, Kansas resident, Booker T. worked in construction and the BBQ food industry most of his life. He was a past member of the former First Baptist Church in South Hoisington, Kansas and a member of the Second Baptist Church in Russell, Kansas. He enjoyed playing poker, fishing, cooking and being around people. Booker T. Married Pia Dorothy Hall in 1965 at Mansfield, Louisiana. They later divorced. He married Marcia L. Guliford November of 1972 at Hoisington, Kansas. They later divorced. He married Denise L. Watson October of 2009 in Houston, Texas. She preceded him in death. Survivors include six sons: Brandon T. Cartwright of Sterling, Colorado, Braylan T. Cartwright of Russell, Kansas, Barrian T. Cartwright of Oklahoma, Derreck Tucker of Oklahoma, Richard Etim of Great Bend, Kansas, Gilbert Reed of Kansas; six daughters Dradeana K. Cartwright of Great Bend, Kansas, Rashawnda Roe of Dallas, Texas, Shlonda R. Watson of Houston, Texas, Shaylaya R. Watson of Houston, Texas, Salima R. Watson of Deleware, Kayliegh E. Etim of Great Bend; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Denise Cartwright; Brother Roy Cartwright; sister Ada Pearl Cartwright-Belvin. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday November 26, 2011 at Second Baptist Church in Russell, Kansas with Reverend Eric Malone officiating.
