Bobby Ann Johnson, 82, died August 24, 2008 at her Great Bend, Kansas, residence. She was born September 8, 1925 at Elk Springs, Missouri, the daughter of Druard Clyde and Ola Mable (Meador) Parish. She married Dean Johnson July 17, 1954 at Great Bend. He died March 21, 1996. A resident of Great Bend since 1936, coming from Elk Springs, Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker. Mrs. Johnson was a member of St. John Episcopal Church, Great Bend. Survivors include two sons: Lloyd Johnson and wife, Kathy, Great Bend, Kansas; and Kermit Johnson, Great Bend, Kansas; three daughters: Connie Johnson, Great Bend, Kansas; Jill Johnson, Great Bend, Kansas; and Alethea Peschka and husband, Joe, Great Bend, Kansas; one sister, Jane Keil and husband Melvin, Great Bend, Kansas; six grandchildren: Lisa Smith and husband, Kenneth; Joe Peschka, Jr., and wife, Dycie; Thomas Peschka and wife, Jamie, Shawn Johnson and wife, Candi; Lottie Johnson; and Scott Johnson; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Ruby Brewington and Mary Ruth Smith. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2008 at St. John Episcopal Church. Father Mark Cowell will officiate. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2008, with the family receiving friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials in Mrs. Johnson's name have been established with the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association, both in care of the funeral home.
