Billy Joe Anthony, 65, died Jan. 15 at Wichita. He was born Aug. 28, 1948 in Russell. He married Michelle Hoover on Oct. 9, 2009 in Wichita. She survives. He worked for Pierson Construction for 12 years. He was a Great Bend resident for all but the last 13 years in which he resided in Park City. B.J. was a Harley Davidson rider and enjoyed any get together with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Michelle Anthony and step-daughter Sylvia Collier of the home; two sons, Bill Jr., Wichita, Justin (Janet), Wichita; daughter Angela (Rob) Stith, Colleyville, Texas; two step-sons, Brice Collier, N.D.; Isaiah Mohr, S.C.; step-daughter Chrystal (Jason) Welch, Wichita and 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by five sisters, LeeNora (PeeWee) Danield, Diana (John) Howard, Lana Slack, Ramona Kay (Joe) Tracy all of Great Bend , Sandra (Robin) Orr, Denton, Texas and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and six sisters. The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25 at Bryant Funeral Home, Great Bend, with Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Inurnment will be at Great Bend Cemetery, Great Bend.
