Beverly Ann Kauffman, 78, died September 2, 2007 at Central Kansas Medical Center in Great Bend. She was born July 9, 1929 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Luroff Durward and Mary Jane Calfee Holdren. On October 1, 1948 she married Bob Bruce Burgard at Kansas City, MO. He died August 6, 1972. She married Robert Landis Kauffman on February 10, 1973 at Salina, KS. He died on September 16, 1998. Beverly was a resident of Great Bend since 2003 coming from Salina. She was a homemaker and co-owned Brann's Warehouse, Inc. in Salina. She was a member of Community Christian Church, Great Bend and had been a volunteer at St. John Hospital and was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church, both of Salina. Survivors include one son, Barry Bruce Burgard and wife, Ruth of Goddard, KS; two daughters, Barbara Jo Holzman, Wichita and Brenda Ann Barger and husband, Steven, Great Bend,; Step-son, Robert Larry Kauffman, Panama City Beach, FL; Step-daughter, Sharon DeBriere and husband, Terry, Alva, FL; one sister, Patricia Ham, Littleton, CO; seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a toddler son Brently J. Burgard. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Community Christian Church, Great Bend with Pastor Jack Sweany officiating. Graveside service will be at 2;30 at Roselawn Cemetery, Salina. Visitation will be Monday, 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Golden Belt Home Health and Hospice in care of the funeral home.
