Betty Wondra, 80, died June 9, 2011 at Great Bend Regional Hospital, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born April 29, 1931 at Great Bend, the daughter of Henry J. and Lena L. (Hlavaty) Maneth. She married Robert Joseph Bob Wondra May 15, 1950 at Great Bend. He died December 19, 2009. A lifetime Great Bend resident, Mrs. Wondra was a homemaker. Mrs. Wondra was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Altar Society, South Homestead EHU, and Gemini Twins Club. Survivors include three sons: Richard Wondra and wife Debbie, Goddard, Kansas; Mike Wondra and wife Vicki, Garden City, Kansas; and Steve Wondra and wife Joanne, Great Bend; four daughters: Margaret Evers, Great Bend; Barbara Ward and husband Justin, Bentley, Kansas; Debra Allen and husband Larry, Hudson, Kansas; and Susan Wilson and husband Karl, Great Bend; twenty-two grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Alvin Maneth; and son-in-law, Lynn Evers. Altar Society Rosary will be at 3:00 p.m., and a Vigil Service will be at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2011at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 13, 2011 at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Father Peter Fernandez will be celebrant. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, June 12, 2011 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Prince of Peace Parish or Riverbend Assisted Living, in care of the funeral home.
