Beth C. Schneider, 90, died December 10, 2010, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 26, 1920, at La Crosse, Kansas. Beth Crotinger married William C. Schneider January 24, 1949, in Rush County. He died July 10, 1962. A homemaker, Mrs. Schneider had been a Great Bend, Kansas resident since 1992, coming from Rush County. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Otis; Joy Club, Bison; American Legion Auxiliary, and former dietician cook of the Bison school system. Left to mourn Mrs. Schneider's passing are: five sons, William C. Schneider and wife Roxanna (Finch), Great Bend, Don R. Schneider and wife Donna (Henderson), Charlestown, Indiana, Lee R. Schneider and wife Carolyn (Meyer), Ellinwood, Jay D. Schneider and wife Terri(Sohm), Great Bend, and Jon R. Schneider and wife Amye (Ochs), Bison; sister, Fern Axman, Great Bend; brother, Ned Crotinger, Alexandria, Indiana; son-in-law, Bob Young, Wichita; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in her passing by a daughter, Norma E. Young, infant sister, Marietta Crotinger, sister, Ruthetta Hursh, and three brothers, John, Clarence, and Alvin Crotinger. Funeral Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington. Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday with the family present from 4:30 to 6:30, and 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are to Trinity Lutheran Church, United Methodist, or the donor's choice.
