Bertha Mae Priesner, 86, died June 17, 2008 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born November 22, 1921 at Great Bend, Kansas, the daughter of Eric and Adeline (Belcher) Wells. She married Frank Priesner November 9, 1940 at Great Bend. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, Mrs. Priesner was a homemaker. Mrs. Priesner was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and the Daughters of Isabella. Surviving Mrs. Priesner are her husband, Frank Priesner, of the home; two sons: Richard Priesner and wife, Patsy, Grand Junction, Colorado; and Roger Priesner and wife, Loretta, Bryan, Texas; one daughter, Beverly Lawyer and husband, Ronald, Austin, Texas; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Priesner was preceded in death by one sister, Eulala Harris. Altar Society Rosary will be at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2008 and a Vigil Service with Daughters of Isabella Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2008, both at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 20, 2008 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend. Celebrant will be Father Reginald A. Urban. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials in Mrs. Priesner's name have been established with the Prince of Peace Parish or Holy Family School Endowment Fund, both in care of the funeral home.
