Bernice Isabel Radke, 84, died February 25, 2009 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born December 28, 1924 at Barton County, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Amelia (Miller) Wilhelm. She married Marcus J. Radke December 12, 1945 at Milberger, Kansas. A lifetime resident of Barton County, Mrs. Radke was a homemaker. Mrs. Radke was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend. Survivors include her husband, Marcus Radke, of the home; one son, Dennis D. Radke and wife, Wanda, Salina, Kansas; one daughter, Carol J. Radke and life partner, Carl Brown, Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters: Viola Schneider, Wakeeney, Kansas; and Jean Bailey, Russell, Kansas; two grandsons: Darren Radke and wife, Diana, Overland Park, Kansas; and Ryan Radke and wife, Erika, Fairfax, Virginia; and one great-granddaugher, Madelyn Noelle Radke. She was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 2, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, with the Reverend James A. Strasen officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday, March 1, 2009, with the family receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Trinity Lutheran Church, in care of the funeral home.
