Bart L. Allison, 39, died September 16, 2010 at Logan County Hospital, Oakley, Kansas. He was born May 3, 1971 at Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Robert Lee and Barbara Jean (Shoulders) Allison. He was a roughneck for H2 Drilling. Mr. Allison was a lifetime Great Bend resident. He was born into the patch. He lived, worked, and died in the patch. It wasn't just what he did, but it was part of who he was. Mr. Allison was a member of First Church of God, Great Bend. Survivors include two daughters: Chelsie Kay Allison, Lyons, Kansas; and Andrea L. Allison, Lyons; four brothers: Jeffrey L. Allison and wife Dana, Great Bend, Kansas; Gregory L. Allison and wife Dianna, Great Bend; Stanley L. Allison and wife Lisa, Great Bend; and John L. Allison, Pittsburg, Kansas; one sister, Melissa Urban and husband George, Great Bend; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Robert Lee Allison, Jr. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at First Church of God with Pastor Tom Swain officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery North. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 21, 2010 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to his children's education fund, in care of the funeral home.
