Barbara J. Boggs, 80, died August 22, 2010 at Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born October 25, 1929 at Sutherland, Iowa, the daugher of Columbus and Carrie (Archer) Brown. She was a homemaker. She married Thomas W. Boggs on July 14, 1951 at Mason City, Iowa. He died December 31, 2005. Mrs. Boggs was a resident of Albert, Kansas, since May 2009 moving from Apache Junction, Arizona, and was formerly of Hesston, Kansas. Survivors include two daughters, Robin Lies and husband David of Albert, Kansas and Kimberly Lally and husband Mike of Newton, Kansas; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two step-grandchildren; son-in-law, James Schares of Mesa, Arizona; sister-in-law, Dorothy Brown, Mason City, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Stephen Thomas; 1 daughter, Debra Schares; three brothers, James, Robert and Jack Brown; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Johnson and Grace Hitzhusen. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls, Iowa, 10:00 am, Saturday, September 25, 2010.
