Archie Junior Purcell, II, 44, died June 21, 2012 at his home, Great Bend, Kansas. He was born June 3, 1968 at Clinton, Indiana, the son of Archie Junior and Barbara Ann (Elkins) Purcell. He married Tiara Pugh March 20, 1993 at Great Bend. A long time Great Bend resident, Mr. Purcell worked on the kill floor for Ellinwood Packing Plant. Mr. Purcell was a member of Cheyenne Bottoms Sportsman Club, and he loved to hunt and fish. Survivors include his wife, Tiara Purcell, of the home; three daughters: Taycota Purcell, Drummond, Oklahoma; Cheslea Purcell, of the home; Selena Purcell, of the home; three sisters: Connie Lynn Kacsel, Dixon, Illinois; Teresa Ann Harmon, Enid, Oklahoma; and Tina Merrie Hopkins, Drummond, Oklahoma; two brothers: Billy Joe Purcell, Grove, Oklahoma; and Terry Lee Purcell, Grove; and one grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Michael Eugene Purcell; and one brother-in-law, William Joe Hopkins, Jr. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 29, 2012 at Bryant Funeral Home. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to the Archie Purcell Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
