April Mae Hart, 38, died February 13, 2013 at her home, Great Bend, Kansas. She was born September 5, 1974 at Lawton, Oklahoma, the daughter of Gary and Colleen (Skeen) Hayes. A Great Bend resident since 2005, coming from Iowa, Minnesota, and Missouri, she had previously been a waitress and CNA. She was a member of Harvest Rains, Great Bend. Survivors include her mother, Colleen Hayes, Great Bend; her father, Gary Hayes, Auburn, California; two sons: Dylan Karst, El Dorado, Kansas; and Zachary Hayes, of the home; one daughter, Porsha Karst, Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Ted Hayes, Palmdale, California; and Glen A. Rogers, Rockport, Missouri. She was preceded in death by one brother, James Paul Hayes. Memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home. Pastor Henry Conner will officiate. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are requested to the April Mae Hart Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
